TOMORROW, JULY 10TH OF 2014: At long last, after much deliberation, Ian Jay Bad Movie Night returns to the airwaves! (And by “airwaves” i mean the internet.) This time around, however, we’re going to be doing something slightly different.

In order to get around time zones and work schedules, I’ll be doing BMNs once a month rather than once a week, on a date to be announced before the showing itself. (Ideally more than a day’s notice, but things shifted around a bunch this week.) Each BMN will be a double feature, however— two films that have something in common, like we’ve done with our themed months in the past.

For example, July’s theme is Ancient History. The two movies we’re showing are:

  • Encino Man (1992; Brendan Fraser, Pauly Shore. Teen comedy with caveman mascot) at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern
  • The Flintstones (1994; John Goodman, Rosie O’Donnell. Terrifying live-action adaptation of Hanna Barbera cartoon) at 8:30pm Pacific/10:30pm Eastern

Naturally we’ll be showing an episode of Space Ghost beforehand, too, as is custom. As always, streams will be hosted on http://livestream.com/ijbmn.

Last but not least, each BMN will have a “sponsor” from here on out— cool artist people who are currently doing things that I want to shout about. (They won’t actually pay to get sponsored. I just want to use BMNs to get people excited about cool creative stuff!) This week’s sponsor is, naturally, Nero O’Reilly, who’s about thirty pages into his comic CARNIVORE PLANETI highly encourage joining his fan club by donating to his Patreon— there’s a neat bundle of perks that come with it, including EARLY ACCESS PAGES and A NEW WALLPAPER EVERY MONTH that I am currently rocking. It’s a good wallpaper; it makes all of my program shortcuts look more attractive. Subscribe now!

Annnnd that about wraps it up for all the fine print! Long story short: Tomorrow, 6pm Pacific, http://livestream.com/ijbmn, MORE CAVEMEN THAN YOU CAN SHAKE A CRUDELY-FASHIONED CLUB AT. Bad Movie NIght is back!

OH MY GOD WE’RE STARTING! GET IN HERE
